Client: UN Global Goals Initiative
Campaign/Project: Global Girls/Project Everyone
Locations: Mumbai, Cape Town & London
Photographer: Veronique de Viguerie

In 2016 Veronique de Viguerie was commissioned to shoot a Global Goals campaign (part of Project Everyone’s work promoting the UN Global Goals initiative).

Launching in July 2016, the Project Everyone campaign aims to highlight the important issues facing women and girls around the world, as the United Nations works to achieve the 17 Global Goals it adopted on 7th September 2015. Shot on location, Veronique’s portraits feature young women from different backgrounds in Mumbai, Cape Town and London. These young women are also featured in a remake of the Spice Girls Wannabe video by renowned film director MJ Delaney, telling world leaders what girls and women ‘really really want’ in 2016.

“Through my work in places such as Afghanistan, Syria and Sudan, I have seen first-hand the struggle for quality education, ending violence against women and girls and gender equality. I hope that my portraits, which show proud, powerful young women using their voices, will help this campaign reach the hearts and minds of the global public and galvanize change.”
